Book Week Celebrations

Each year the Children's Book Council of Australia (CBCA) highlights the importance of reading by showcasing Australian children’s books, authors, and illustrators. Celebrating Book Week is our way to ignite a passion for reading and literature among individuals of all ages.

It's a special time when our school and community come together to highlight the importance of books and the joy of reading. Events during Book Week often include author visits, storytelling sessions, book-themed costume parades, and reading challenges, all designed to foster a love for reading. Students eagerly anticipate these activities, donning costumes inspired by their favorite characters and immersing themselves in the magical worlds that books create.

Book Week serves as an excellent opportunity to introduce students to diverse voices and perspectives in literature. By exploring stories from different cultures and backgrounds, children learn empathy and gain a broader understanding of the world around them.
