Italian

At St Albans North Primary School all learners participate in an hour session weekly of Italian Language Studies.

Learning a language gives learners the opportunity to further improve their communication and literacy skills. It allows them to learn about different cultures, their traditions, history and further develop a sense of respect and understanding for others. Learners are continually encouraged to reflect on their culture, make connections and compare it to life in Italy.

Our Italian sessions cover a variety of engaging themes and topics, including: Greetings, Sport, Animals, Parts of the body, Pinocchio, Italian culture, Food, Hobbies, Festivals and Family, just to name a few.

When possible Italian sessions are linked in with classroom Inquiry topics as well as topics taught in the Arts and Physical Education.

Located in the City of Brimbank 20kms from Melbourne, our school provides a great learning environment and features bright, comfortable, carpeted classrooms with plenty of natural light, central heating and evaporative cooling.
